On the morning of 29th September, at the Beethoven HIU hall, the “Your English – Your Great Jobs” workshop, organized by Institute of Social Sciences and International Languages, occurred.
To represent Hong Bang International University, Assoc. Prof., PhD. Le Khac Cuong, Director of Institute of Social Sciences and International Languages and Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Head of Communications along with many teachers of Institute of Social Sciences and International Languages and over 300 students came to attend the workshop.
Assoc. Prof., PhD. Le Khac Cuong – Director of School of Social Sciences and International Languages is delivering a congratulatory speech for the workshop.
The “Your English – Your Great Jobs” workshop, organized by Horizon TESOL along with HCM TESOL Association and Journalism Foreign Language Center – Viet Nam News Agency, took place in the chain of universities. Its aims are to help students understand the importance of learning English, as well as career opportunities for students whose major is English. Through the seminars, students are equipped with the essential skills to conquer the employer.
The seminar attracted many teachers and HIU’s students to attend.
This was an opportunity for HIU’s students to meet and exchange with Mr. Nguyen Duy Bao Khang (Khang Nguyen), M.S. Dang Tuan Tien and Mr. Nguyen Thai Duong – hot names in the English language and employment in Vietnam. Moreover, the students had a chance to get access to the speakers’ sharing about how to learn English effectively,the necessary skills to answer in interviews as well as how to write an impressive CV to the employer. At the seminar, HIU’s students were also introduced to the “hot” career opportunities for English language students.

This was a useful and rewarding playground which stimulated the self-learning spirit of the students and equipped them with the essential knowledge and skills when they were still undergraduates, paving the way for their job-seeking process and helping orient career path in the future.

In addition, the session also had a lot of interesting games attracting students to participate in and receive the meaningful gifts.
Additional information about the three speakers:
– Mr. Nguyen Duy Bao Khang (Khang Nguyen): A teacher at HCM International University from 2003 to 2010, Director of the Training Program for Interpretation and Translation of Journalism Foreign Language Center – Vietnam News Agency, Director of AKT Interpretation Company. In addition, Mr. Khang Nguyen is also a Vietnamese-English bilingual MC for international conferences, seminars and English talkshows on HTV7 and VTV9 channels.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Bao Khang is sharing a considerable amount of useful knowledge for HIU’s students at the workshop.
– M.S. Dang Tuan Tien: A specialist in human resources and soft skills training for educational organizations. Moreover, he has lectured in a variety of recruitment consultancy programs which consult on personal branding at 40 colleges and universities in Ho Chi Minh city and attract nearly 40,000 students since 2011 up to now. Especially, M.S. Tien is an alumnus of HIU.
With his tremendous experience as a recruitment consultant, M.S. Dang Tuan Tien is sharing the basic skills to conquer recruiters.
– Mr. Nguyen Thai Duong: He graduated from Biotechnology Faculty of University of Science; however, with passion and excellent English ability, he pursued his teaching dream and became a famous English teacher. Currently, he is the Founder and CEO of Speak Only Center System. Mr. Thai Duong is quite well-known on social networks and newspapers for the nickname “9X teacher” with attractive teaching English method through music and poetry.
