DIPLOMA TESOL-HCMC
The 120-hour TESOL Diploma course is built according to the international standards and practical experiences on English education in Vietnam. The teaching staff include lecturers, Heads of Departments and the Academic Directors of prestigious domestic and international universities and English Centers.
THE VALUE OF TESOL DIPLOMA
Established in 2005 according to the Decision No.5544/QĐ-UBND of People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and under the control of the HCMC Department of Education and Training, the HCMC Association of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL HCMC) is the first and largest professional organization in the field of English Language Teaching recognized in Vietnam.
After graduation, not only do learners gain TESOL diploma accepted in Vietnam, but also become the members of TESOL HCMC with lots of advantages and practical assistance in future teaching career.
COURSE CONTENT
The 120-hr program includes 4 modules:
♦ Module 1: Fundamentals of Language Teaching
Providing the basics of theories of Language Teaching and Learning as well as common teaching methods
Completing the module, learners can identify necessary English teaching techniques suited for different teaching situations.
♦ Module 2: Teaching Language Skills and Language Materials
Methods of teaching the four skills Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing, the elements of language, and important things which should be taken into account when teaching
Completing the module, learners can build and present lectures appropriately in the actual classroom situations.
♦ Module 3: Teaching Skills
Teaching skills include creating a learning atmosphere, managing classroom, managing behaviour for learning, using visual tools, understanding cultural factors.
Completing the module, learners can grasp how to handle situations in class, which facilitates language teaching and learning.
♦ Module 4: Classroom Observation and Practice
Practice and observe to learn from actual class with instructors.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Meet one of the following requirements:
– Hold an undergraduate degree in English.
– Have certificates indicating English language proficiency (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL…)
– Pass the English entrance test.
FEES AND SCHOLARSHIPS
– Course fee is 12,000,000 VND/learner, including: textbook, learning materials, test and diploma fee.
– 20% fee Scholarship for those who meet one of the criteria.
