Mr. VO HUYNH DONG VU
English Language Teacher; Teacher Trainer; Cambridge Speaking Examiner
Mr. Vo Huynh Dong Vu graduated from Ho Chi Minh University of Social Sciences and Humanities, majoring in English linguistics and English Language Teaching. Following 8 years of teaching and training at various language centers in Ho Chi Minh city, he decided to pursue a Master’s degree in TESOL education in Edith Cowan university, Australia.
Mr. Vu Vo has always been particularly interested in exploring Vietnamese learners’ autonomy, their diverse learning styles, and how to empower them to be active participants in the learning process. Easily seen from his lessons, Mr. Vu prioritizes and encourages problem-solving and critical thinking as he believes these are key skills to help learners succeed within and beyond the classroom in the 21st century.
Apart from his teaching and teacher training role, Mr. Vu Vo is currently working as a Speaking Examiner for Cambridge English Assessment in Cambridge PET, KET and FCE exams for adults and teenagers. This examiner role has given him a chance to look at the learners from a wider and more holistic perspective, as well as to reflect on himself both as an English teacher and teacher trainer.
